i love peanut butter more than anything. i don’t know whether i would
have survived childhood without it… but as i get older, my tastes are
changing.
for example, my peanutty red curry sauce, and this dippy.
i use this recipe all the time. in fact, if i run out of things to dip in it, i have no trouble eating it with a spoon. nom nom.
ingredients:
1/3 c natural peanut butter
1/3 c soy sauce
1 T garlic
2 t sambal olek
hot water
1/3 c natural peanut butter
1/3 c soy sauce
1 T garlic
2 t sambal olek
hot water
*remember, i love garlic!! this may be too much for you. also, sambal olek is pretty hot, so adjust based on your tolerance!!*
to make:
combine peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic and sambal olek in a bowl,
and whisk to mix everything together. i like this sauce fairly thick,
but even still it may need a bit of water added. i find it thickens up
if you let it sit for a while. i’d say i normally add 1/4 c of hot tap
water.
serve with your favourite dippers. suggestions: summer/spring rolls, deep-fried tofu, raw veggies, perogies…
