chocolate chip-macadamia nut cookies

these cookies are matt’s absoloute favourite. i have made him a batch of these cookies about once a month for the past seven years… and he still loves them!!

this recipe makes a huge batch. about 3-4 dozen depending on how big you make them.

ingredients:

1 1/4 c white sugar
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1 1/2 c butter
2 t vanilla
2 t baking soda
3 eggs
4 c flour
1/2 c mini chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped macadamia nuts

to make:

melt butter, add brown and white sugars to it, mix well.
add vanilla, baking soda and eggs.
once everything above is well mixed, add flour one cup at a time.
last, add chocolate chips and macadamia nuts and mix until they’re evenly distributed through the batter.
spoon onto a cookie sheet, about 1 T of batter per cookie. leave about 2” between cookies.
bake at 350 about 10 minutes. more if you like your cookies well-cooked… matt’s idea of the perfect cookie is “the outside just crispy enough to hold in the dough”
